What hot water system is right for you:
Gas Instantaneous Hot Water Systems
A cost effective and energy efficient option, gas hot water systems are hooked up to either natural gas if installed in street, or LPG cylinders stored at the location. The instantaneous systems only heat water as it is required, rather than heating up a large storage cyclinder of water. We recommended the installation of a controller which will allow you to set the temperature of the water, this is great for safety and also efficiency as you only then need to heat the water to a lower temperature for most activities including showers and washing hands.
If you already have gas at you home for cooking, installing gas hot water is an easy decision.
Electric Hot Water Systems
These systems are easy to install and have a low set up costs compared to gas. They are more expensive in terms of power use, but many customers who have solar power don’t see this as an issue.
Solar Hot Water Systems
A highly energy efficient option solar hot water systems over time will save on energy bills. They are more expensive to install but there are also rebates available from the government to help with the initial cost outlay. As well as traditional on roof panel systems there are also new innovations that our plumbers and gasfitters can talk to you about.
